A generous, anonymous donor has promised to match, dollar for dollar, every offering you give that is above your regular tithe amount up to $1000 from now through Sunday, November 17th, 2019, our church’s 22nd Anniversary. That means that every extra dollar you give counts double toward funding all the amazing ministries of Imani MCC.
Please give as you normally do – whether by check or cash during our Sunday Worship Service (mark the Above the Tithe amount that you enclose on your offering envelope) or use our Cash App $ImaniMCCofNC or PayPal.me/ ImaniMCC smartphone apps (reference “Above the Tithe portion = $__”). Every extra dollar counts! We will make sure your extra offering gets credited to this extraordinary giving campaign.
And please give generously. We want to make sure that we start 2020 fully funded with no burden from past obligations. Thank you for your generous support of the work of Imani MCC of Durham!
A baby is coming!!! You are invited to help us celebrate this wonderful occasion with Victoria and Bobbie as they prepare to welcome a new sweet baby into their family. Please find the link to their baby registry below. Note: They will be using cloth diapers and breastfeeding the baby.
The baby shower for Victoria and Bobbie Brown will be here at the church on Saturday, Nov 9, 2019 @ 3:00 pm. There is a refreshment sign-up sheet in the back. Please come out and celebrate with them. They are registered at Walmart under the name "Victoria & Bobbie's Registry."
Immediately following the service on October 20th, Imani MCC will hold its first Town Hall Meeting for approximately 1 hour to discuss: what type of church we are, what we would like to become, church’s strengths, areas of opportunity for the church, and how do we grow from here. Imani would like to have a free and open discussion about what is working, needs improving, and what our individual and collective role is in the process. Refreshments will be provided.
On Sunday, October 20, 2019, Imani is asking all members and friends of Imani to “Wear Pink” in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During our Sunday Service we will have a moment of silence for all those near and dear to us that were lost to cancer. You may call out their names to honor their legacy. Afterwards prevention and early detection literature will be available for people to take with them.
