Dee Johnson Phillips

Dee Johnson-Phillips, CLC, MIT, is a visionary leader whose dynamic career spans healthcare administration, social advocacy, creative arts, and spiritual guidance. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and Child Development and is a Certified Grief Coach, Certified DEI Professional, Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Six Sigma White Belt, and Licensed Administrator. Her career includes executive roles such as Operations Director, District Manager in Pediatric Home Health, Executive Director in the nursing home industry, Clinic Director, and Orthopedic Practice Manager. Her commitment to equity and compassion has also been evident in her impactful service as a Case Manager for the Section 8 Housing Program, where she advocated for vulnerable families and individuals.

Dee’s spiritual journey is the foundation of her life’s work. She dedicated her life to God at just 15 years old, began her ministerial commitment at 22, and was ordained by the age of 23. Since then, she has devoted her life to guiding others through healing and transformation. As the founder and owner of S’EED, she specializes in Grief and Executive Coaching and as a Development Facilitator, helping individuals and organizations grow through purpose, awareness, and empowerment. Her work has earned accolades such as the 2018 Clinic Developer Award. Dee also co-founded the Bayard Rustin LGBTQ Chapter of the APRI in North Carolina and serves as a Regional Executive Board Member and Executive board member of JoCo Pride Inc. She is the founder of A Mother’s Hug support group for grieving parents and Truth Be Told rehabilitation program for male offenders. Her mission is to cultivate emotionally resilient people, strong leaders, and healthy communities.

Outside of her professional and ministerial roles, Dee is a deeply creative soul — an accomplished poet, writer, sculptor, artist, motivational speaker, and facilitator. As a proud mother of four and wife to Sam Johnson Phillips, including her angel son Kevin, her greatest joy is rooted in family. Her legacy is shaped by a heart for service — whether supporting parents through grief, guiding those navigating mental health challenges, or helping people embrace their truth. Dee continues to pour her passion into initiatives like Mind Matters and support for the unhoused, standing as a bold, compassionate, and unwavering light for others on their journey to healing and purpose.
