“I give you this to take with you:
Nothing remains as it was. If you know this, you can
begin again, with pure joy in the uprooting.”
― Judith Minty, Letters to My Daughters

My Dear One,
After four grace-filled years of being in ministry together the time has come for us to move into the next phase of our faith journeys. The time has also come for us to move in different directions as we journey forward. There is so much that could be said now because we’ve been through so much together. We have shared so many blessings in such a short period of time. For now, I’ll simply say thank you for blessing my life, and ministering with and to me, during the past four years.
Over the next few weeks we (the board and I) will be praying and talking with you about the transition process. The intention is that December 31, 2012 be my last day of serving as Imani’s pastor. Working with our elder, Rev. Lillie Brock, we’ll be putting things in place to make this transition be as smooth and as healthy as possible. It’s our intention to keep you informed every step of the way.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:6-7) These words from Paul may be more for me than they are for you (big smile). Moving into the unknown can mean lots of things and cause lots of emotions. As we walk together into what God has for us next may these words find a place deep within each of us and give us God’s peace.
