Small Groups at Imani MCC

“As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. ‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will make you fishers of men.’ At once they left their nets and followed him. Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.” Matthew 4:18-22 (NIV)

As you can see from the scripture above, not even Jesus tried to live his life and offer his ministry to the world alone! So why should we try and do so?

Here at Imani MCC we believe in the power of the community of believers, and because of this belief we seek to offer various ways for people to enter into loving, healthy and spirit led relationship with one another. One of the primary means for doing so is our Small Group Ministry.

Through small groups we seek to offer each person an opportunity to connect with others in this faith community for the purposes of (1) spiritual growth through study and spiritual disciplines, (2) spiritual care and nurture, and (3) spiritual fellowship and fun! As far as we are concerned, small groups are the “way to go and grow in the Spirit” as you journey with Christ here at Imani.

Here are what some of our small groups at Imani are about:

  • Bible Study
  • Spiritual Growth Studies
  • Healing Circle
  • Men’s Ministry
